A fabulous 21 Year Old bottling from Glenfiddich, and as its name suggests this particular single malt was finished in casks used previously to age Caribbean rum for four months The return of the name Reserve to Glenfiddich's 21yo after a few years under different titles is also accompanied by an upgrade to its packaging. It is still finished in rum casks for four months, but now has a more elegant presentation, as befits its position towards the top of the distillery's regular range.
ABV: 40%
Nose: Barley sugar, malt and dark brown sugar, with orange peels, marmalade, manuka honey, chocolate and foam bananas.
Palate: Full, fruitcake, spices, buttery vanilla, malty, with oak and candied ginger.
Finish: Long, with notes of mochaccino and marmalade.
