Named after two influential men of New Orleans cocktail industry, Thomas Handy and John Schiller, Handy & Schiller Barreled Cocktails was introduced by the Sazerac Company. Schiller, worked as a bartender in New York, later finding his way to New Orleans. By 1860 he was operating the world-famous Sazerac Coffeehouse in the French Quarter. Thomas Handy, a Maryland native, worked for Schiller at the coffeehouse. Aromas of vanilla-almond nougat, candied cherries, butterscotch, tobacco, and toast with a satiny, crisp, moderately sweet light-to-medium body and a smooth, medium-length banana taffy, molasses, and raisin cake finish.
